EDITORIAL: Practical licenses could only increase talent in classroom

Indiana’s largest teachers union has come out in opposition to a proposed teaching license for noneducation graduates, and that comes as a surprise to no one. No question, the Indiana State Teachers Association believes its method — attaining a college degree in education — is the right way to train Hoosier teachers. Also, the teachers are protecting their turf by seeking to limit teaching jobs to their members.
